The 3
Valleys Foundation is an innovative charity that has been set up to support
people in need in the valleys of South Wales. Our support focuses on the Rhondda,
Cynon and Taff areas of the South Wales valleys. We are a non-profitable charity
run by residents of the valleys for people in the valleys.
The Foundation was the brainchild of Mrs Cathy Oseman who through her time
in local government has seen the need for the support of disadvantaged individuals
throughout the areas of her involvement. A lengthy discussion then took place
with Cllr Simon Lloyd past Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taff who was in full agreement
with Cathy and the foundation was born.
An inaugural meeting of the Foundation took place on 26th June 2011 where
the election of officers took place and the fundraising began.
The Foundation having the support and use of facilities of The Glancynon Inn
and Restaurant based in the heart of the Cynon Valley then committed to use
the venue as a base its activities.
